Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
Ensure that revenue management standards are maintained at a superior level daily.
Assist Director of Revenue with monitoring compliance with standard operating procedures and reporting procedures for all business channels with corresponding standardization of data entry/account coding for the property, with the goal of providing real-time business analysis.
Develop, implement and monitor compliance with standard operating procedures for all revenue management functions.
Review, analyze, and communicate day-to-day changes in available inventory and booking pace for the hotel using business intelligence reports (RevIntel, Revcaster, Opera, Delphi/SalesForce); making rate and/or inventory adjustments accordingly.
Maintain technical expertise in all relative systems: RevIntel, IDEAS, SynXis, Opera, Excel and other tools.
Ensure correct placement and rate positioning on all distribution channels (rate parity); conduct audit checks and maintain audit calendar
Assist Revenue Director with update of selling restrictions in all distribution channels (GDS, third party etc.).
Assist in collecting industry data regarding current trends that will help in forecasting and the budget process.
Be knowledgeable of all special rates and promotions. Act as liaison to Front office to communicate selling strategies, packages/promotions and room rate changes.
Attend and maintain notes/minutes for weekly Revenue Strategy Meeting(s), either in person or via conference call at least twice per month.
Assist in ensuring compliance by the Reservations/Front Office teams to any change in sales strategy; assist front office team with inventory management.
Create analytical adhoc reports as directed by the Area Director of Revenue; Review all reports for 100% accuracy prior to general release
Support other areas of revenue, sales, operations, and marketing as necessary.
Work with Front Office team on upsell program analytics (pace, individual performance, training)
Distribute weekly operational forecast (10 or 14 day)
Group Rooms Responsibilities:
Enter and maintain all group rooms in Opera (including catering and courtesy room blocks)
Consistent and on-going audit of group blocks in Delphi and Opera
Maintain group cut off dates. Communicate with Sales Manager and Conference Service Manager regarding cutoff dates and group wash (positive or negative)
Participate in weekly GRC meeting and communicate status of future groups and highlight significant changes
Enter and maintain accurate rooming lists
Enter group room blocks by room category to manage hotels’ inventory, avoiding sell outs in any one room category (consistently communicate with DORM on inventory).
Assist Conference Service Manager and/or Sales Manager with changes, additions, lists, etc. from Opera
Participate in weekly Resume Meeting
Produce attrition reports upon groups departure
Track and report Delphi leads and conversion rate
All other duties as required.
