We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our Culinary Team!
Overview
The Chef de Partie is responsible for prep, set up, and providing quality service in all areas of hot food production to include, but not limited to: hot menu items, hotline specials, displays/ presentations of hot appetizers, entrees, side vegetable & potato dishes, sauce, stock, and hot sandwiches, in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly, and safely.
Meet with the Culinary Leadership team to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes, and other information pertinent to the job performance.
Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss, and usage per policies.
Prepare food and other items for designated outlets.
Prepare all dishes following recipes and yield guides, according to department standards.
Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables and adhere to all Company regulations regarding workplace health and safety.
Requirements
Maintain a professional and courteous manner whilst at work.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager and complete safety training and certifications.
Be proactive, ask questions, and be responsible for the action or lack of action.
Speak with others using clear and professional language.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Carry out any reasonable requests made by the manager and other members of the management team in a timely manner.
Flexible schedule required; some weekends and holidays required.

Job Requirements: Qualifications
Experience
Minimum two years' experience as a Chef de Partie, or similar role, in a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant.
Education
High school diploma and culinary background.
General Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to work quickly and accurately at all times; adaptable to a range of activities in any given day – an effective team worker; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills
Thorough knowledge of all kitchen services and amenities; ability to follow directions and provide clear directions to others.
Language
Required to speak, read and write English, and do basic mathematics. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting food and kitchen items, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, lift, and carry heavy objects up to 30 lbs.
