Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel is looking for a Director of Social Activities to join our Sales & Marketing Team! 



Overview



To maintain a positive public image for Rosewood Miramar Beach while managing and coordinating the needs of all group clients.



job summary-



Reports to Director of Sales and Marketing supporting activities, marketing, and public relations for the property. Oversight of managing all areas of external and internal communication plans including public relations, social media, and programming of activities for the resort and private club. Books private events for the outlets to generate ancillary revenue for the resort.



Duties and Responsibilities





Design, plan, promote, and generate enthusiasm and interest for a diverse program of social events and experiences; maintain the activities master calendar for the resort and club. 

Hire vendors, bands, and entertainers; agree on fees and times; contract for and monitors vendors/entertainment.

Coordinate with the directors of operations to plan and execute all activities at resort and club properties.

Promote, sell private events within outlets toward a quarterly booking goal

Coordinate the promotion of all activities with the resort marketing and communications team and the branding teams. Arrange for special publicity needs and collateral tailored per event.

Work closely with the Sales team to offer/tailor a diverse and unique selection of experiences that they can sell to their clients. 

Work closely to ensure that budget parameters and controls are implemented and that corrective actions are taken if necessary, to help meet budget goals

Work closely with other departments to ensure that complete, concise information goes to the resort, guests, the community, club members, and staff members who will be working directly with each event.

Keep an accurate history file of each event; writes follow up correspondence per event

Maintain visibility in the community with retailers, artists, entertainers, etc., and uses these resources for the benefit of the resort and club membership

Attend staff and management meetings

Actively participates in the Business Plan preparation with emphasis on driving the revenue objectives for the Resort.

Collaborates to ensure all brand standards and values are always maintained  

Assist with proactive management of digital marketing campaigns in conjunction with agencies across all channels

Prepare and execute strategic campaigns to support the overall business goals of the resort

Professionally represent the resort in community and industry organizations and events

Maintain expenses within the budgeted guidelines

Work as a liaison supporting the property photo and video shoots

Prepare and submit timely monthly reports, participate in scheduled sales and or marketing meetings

Creates positive profile awareness through the media representatives on all aspects of resort revenue streams to ensure that we meet all objectives in the annual Sales and Marketing plan.

Identify, recommend and act upon any potential marketing opportunities that create a positive market profile or potential revenue

Optimize the relationships with key marketing partners (PR agency, printing companies, social media partners) to ensure that they are provided with a strong brief

Liaise with all PR stakeholders (Rosewood, ownership, and agency of record)

Work in conjunction with the Food and Beverage Department to develop plans as the need for programming and planning

Creates positive press releases and circulates them to relevant agencies after all approvals

Assists in the procurement of sponsors for events and activities.

Assist Managing Director with speeches, internal and external communications, and media interviews

Perform other duties as assigned (guest room tours, property tours, special guest requests, etc.)



Job Requirements: Experience-



5-7 years of programming, events, sales, marketing, and public relations



Hospitality industry experience preferred



Significant communications and planning experience that includes a blend of strategy and programming experience



Luxury experience preferred



A strong track record of positioning an organization to achieve tangible outcomes in a competitive environment   



Ability to coach and support senior leaders as a spokesperson
