Cosa comprende il lavoro

To ensure smooth and efficient operation of the telephone exchange.
To keep the work area neat and tidy.
To be polite, courteous, alert and helpful at all times.
To answer a call within three rings.
To attend all incoming/outgoing calls with accuracy and courtesy.
To observe instructions if any, from a guest before connecting the call.
To ensure that calls are properly connected.
To be polite and patient while talking to a guest.
To know extensions of all staff and executives along with their designations.
To know names of all restaurants, their timings and types of cuisines served.
To have knowledge about the workings of different department and their locations.
To read the instructions book, Banquet function list, Chambers function list daily.
To know names and location for the hotels in The Taj Group along with the names of the respective General Managers.
To keep a track of Guest locators on Fidelio.( Instructions slips).
To have knowledge of operation of console, Opera, Guest Administration console.
To have knowledge of accessing the Voice Mail System from the guest rooms and extensions.
To follow procedures for handling emergencies – Fire/Bomb scare/ Guest or staff stuck in lifts.
To know the telephone numbers and procedure for contacting doctor/ambulance in emergencies.
Constantly update telephone numbers, other information on Fidelio.
To note any new information/changes in the instruction books for knowledge for other colleagues.
To keep abreast the changes regarding numbers/other facilities e.g., areas codes, country codes, world time, charges etc.
To know the procedures for wake up calls, feeding wake up calls on the console, making a note of FITs/Crew/Group in the Main wake call sheet.
To keep a track of wake calls on the printer and giving reminder calls.
To know the procedure for dealing with wake calls that are not answered by the guests.
To learn the procedures for making trunk calls.
To write down the name of the person booking the call, their extension, the place they want the call to be placed, the duration for the time they speak and the charges in the project trunk call book.
To handle bookings of AT&T calls
To observe telephone manners and proper grooming at work as per company guidelines
Adherence to the guidelines mentioned in the TPAM and TCOC and thorough adherence to the IT etiquettes is to be followed.
To always adhere to personal grooming as per the standards laid down by the hotel and maintain high standards of grooming.
To perform any duties/responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by persons placed in authority over you.
