Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Resort Activities Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for Sports Attendants at the Boat House
  • To assist in financial functions of the Boathouse with respect to department budget
  • To assist in planning and running convention sports activities and VIP groups
  • To be a representative on special committees i.e., Health and Safety, Enviro
  • To assist in continuing marketing of Boathouse activities
  • To assist in all colleague team efficiency and safety awareness training
  • To assist in training and development within the department
  • To comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks
  • To adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
  • To assist in performance management
  • To work scheduled shifts when staffing levels so dictate
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the canoe fleet
  • Responsible for a cash float
  • Responsible for canoe rescues

Qualifications:

  • University/College education in a related discipline an asset
  • CPR and First Aid certificate
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Cash handling
  • Strong knowledge of canoeing
  • Knowledge of canoe rescue techniques
  • Capable of lifting and moving canoes (90 pounds )

Visa Requirements: Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
