Associate Director of Product, Hotel eCommerce

Cosa comprende il lavoro

We believe that we are better together, and at Tripadvisor we welcome you for who you are. Our workplace is for everyone, as is our people powered platform. At Tripadvisor, we want you to bring your unique identities, abilities, and experiences, so we can collectively revolutionize travel and together find the good out there.

Want to be part of a team working on the world's largest travel platform? Tripadvisor aims to make everyone a better traveler by creating products that let members plan, go and guide others on their way. As the Product team lead managing our Hotels eCommerce offerings, you will get to work on products and features that impact millions of monthly visitors worldwide.

We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Director of Product to build a roadmap and lead a team focused on driving Hotels revenue and work with a cross-functional team to bring the roadmap to market. You will play a central role in shaping the hotel shopping experience on Tripadvisor - this is a high visibility role with enormous impact given the scale of the business.

We're looking for a product leader who is obsessed with growth and has demonstrated experience leading an experimentation-based ecommerce roadmap. You should have experience creating world-class online shopping experiences and be skilled with conversion funnel optimization. To be successful, you will be skilled with data, laser-focused on driving results, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have fun along the way. As part of this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with other leads in Engineering, Design, UX Research, Marketing, Analytics, B2B counterparts, and stakeholders across Tripadvisor.

The ideal candidate will have a broad interest in product and technology, a strong bias toward action, excellent interpersonal skills, and comfort with ambiguity.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of Product Managers to build a roadmap focused on driving revenue growth of our Hotels business across platforms.
  • Ruthlessly prioritize what to focus on and when. There are endless ways we can improve our products. We will rely on you to prioritize the opportunities while maximizing our ROI in the short and long term.
  • Ensure that we’re clearly communicating the problem we’re trying to solve and how we’re measuring our success to key members of the team and senior management
  • Use data to help drive roadmap planning and goal setting, while effectively connecting insights to company, team, and individual project goals.
  • Communicate, communicate, communicate. With dozens of global stakeholders and millions of members standing to be impacted by your decisions, you should be able to resolve conflict and communicate transparently.
  • Be critical and never settle. We move quickly and are always looking at the performance of our product to determine what’s “in” or “out”. You should, with grim satisfaction, look forward to communicating what we shouldn’t build.
  • Question the status quo. There’s an abundance of ways we can work smarter, better and faster as we evolve as a product organization and we’re looking at you to identify them.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years experience of ecommerce-focused product management experience, with experience working across platforms (web and app).
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Consistent track record of driving revenue growth through the development of B2C ecommerce strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience working in a company going through consistent change and someone who thrives in a fast paced environment.
  • A passion for driving results no matter how big or how small the task.
  • A growth mindset and solutions oriented person who enjoys collaborating to solve problems.
  • Highly analytical and knows their way around data.
  • Excellent communication to effectively and efficiently articulate both strategic vision and specific details to various stakeholders, from senior leadership to individual contributors.
  • Empathy and a drive to deeply understand customer needs.

We strive to create an accessible and inclusive experience for all candidates. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or the recruiting process, please make sure to reach out to your individual recruiter or our team at greenhouse@tripadvisor.com
