About The Opportunity

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineering, Sr Lead to own the design & deployment of WeWork active IT, AV & security infrastructure. In this role, you will:

  • Confirm IT/AV & Security requirements for projects and ensure all design is to latest product/technical standards and identify site/project specific requirements

  • Budget projects to latest Building Technology standards 

  • Recommend Comms Room strategy for approval, ensure standard is followed for room sizes & strategy

  • Ensure WiFi design is incorporated into design drawings

  • Identify primary/secondary ISP routes & engage vendors & review layout for cabling distances

  • Determine if cellular remediation is required, and incorporate system requirements into design drawings

  • Procure services as required for Cabling, IT, AV, Security, ISP & Cellular services as required for projects

  • Review vendor quotes for BOM/Service accuracy and price comparison/value for money

  • Attend monthly Vendor Management meetings for bi-directional feedback and improvement

  • Page-turn with vendors and GC onsite/remote along with design pack validation

  • Room Readiness checklist completion. IT Closets ready for rack installs, second fix works for all disciplines in comms rooms

  • Responsible for building logistics (materials etc) & the POC for IT/AV/SEC/Cabling & System Commissioning

  • Ensure vendor site access as needed including H&S reviews/approval

  • Technology related construction management & escalation including Room Readiness failures

  • Create, maintain & communicate project plans & RAID logs as well as Snag Lists & Vendor Quality/Standards Adherence

  • Attend project programming/design meetings along with providing weekly project Status Reports and input into monthly business review

  • Assisting with ad-hoc new developments including changes to standards and new products/solutions

  • Works closely with the Member Solutions team to validate design concepts for suitability

  • Supporting of planning and implementation of capital improvement projects and hardware refreshes, ensuring budgets are maintained and standards are kept

  • Ensures smooth handover of documentation & runbooks to Field Services & End User support teams

  • Champions Building Technology Standards and identifies and suggests improvements for future iterations

  • Works with global team to roll out new processes & standards

  • Review feedback from Operate team or wider Product/Ops/Community teams to feedback into Delivery designs & deployments

  • Contribute to vendor relationships, identify and recommend actions for improvement, escalating issues internally where appropriate



About You

Does the below sound like you? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Information Technology

  • Technical subject matter expert in at least one of: Cabling, Active IT/Network, Audio-Visual, Security

  • Experience in having direct responsibility for producing coordinated Low Voltage and / or Telecommunications construction documents

  • Broad knowledge of low voltage infrastructure, structured cabling and coordination strategy with focus on telecommunications and / or audio visual design

  • Have experience with construction projects

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting floor plans and technical drawings and specifications

  • Understanding of the design and construction of IT Closets, MDF and Electrical Equipment Rooms

  • Experience in project completion and turnover for low voltage systems

  • Understanding of network architecture and information security compliance

  • Strong project management skills for team coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and supply-chain management

  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong work ethic and ownership mentality

  • A team collaborator, clear communicator, prudent risk-assessor, and effective motivator

  • Habitually thinking outside the box and exploring new ways to execute projects

  • Gets happy and excited that no two days are the same & oves working with numerous people day to day
