Bar Manager

The Porter House is looking for a committed hospitality leader to join the team as the Bar Manager of Sydney's newest dining precinct. This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new development where you will apply your talent and experience to build a team for this premium food and beverage venue. 

The Bar Manager will lead from the front and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. You will inspire and motivate the team to achieve high levels of service and deliver a consistent premium product while maintaining a positive culture and an enjoyable work environment. With a proven record of team building and leadership, you will display a balanced, approachable style of management while working with all departments and team members to deliver an exceptional customer experience.    

Reporting directly to the Director of Guest Experience, a strong understanding of financials with a proven record in achieving budgetary targets and KPI’s is required, as well as experience in stock control including maximising profits and minimising wastage and loss. Responsibilities will include managing all day to day operational duties of the bar, as well as using your extensive experience and knowledge to train and develop team members to reach their full potential creating a fun, engaging experience for our guests.

What we are looking for;

• Minimum 2 years Bar management experience
• Current RSA certificate
• Extensive knowledge of alcoholic and Non-alcoholic beverages
• Stock control - maximising profits and minimising wastage and loss
• Proven experience meeting KPI targets
• Proven experience in successfully managing a team
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to effectively delegate responsibilities and maximise resources
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment
