The Food and Beverage Operations Manager assists the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to lead the Food and Beverage operations by ensuring and maintaining the strategic and tactical positioning as a world class operation. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Oversees and supervises the overall success of the day-to-day operations.
  • Adheres to the standards and long term positioning as a world class operation.
  • Achieves all established KPIs in the areas of revenue and profit.
  • Manages costs and expenses, quality commitment and team morale.
  • Recruits the best talents.
  • Ensures and upholds innovation and creative reputation of the Food and Beverage division.
  • Works closely with the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to plan business strategies and reviews progress of ongoing action plans.
  • Makes recommendations to the management on potential sources of revenue e.g. Food and Beverage promotions.
  • Manages and leads the team of colleagues in the areas of manpower planning, recruitment, supervision, coaching, counselling, disciplinary action, training and development, colleague engagement, performance management and review, and talent management.

Candidate Profile

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Beverage / Hospitality Management or extensive hands-on experience in various Food and Beverage concepts.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar position in hotel or free-standing restaurant and bar environment.
  • Prior work experience in Asia, Singapore or South East Asia preferred.
  • Accustomed to and comfortable with media exposure. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Oral & written fluency in English, and an additional language would be an advantage.
  • Involvement in reservations and understanding of revenue management processes.
  • Ability to thrive in large scale and high volume operation.
