Our Front Office team we are looking for a Front Office Team Leader to work both Nights and Days. What does your job entail?

As a Front Office Team Leader (Nights & Days) in our Front Office team you are responsible for an incredible hello and goodbye for our guests. We don't call you the Director of First Impressions for nothing!

Together with your team:

  • You ensure that guests do not forget their experience at Mercure London Bridge hotel;
  • You are visible in our lobby and you enjoy telling our guests everything about the hotel and the Southbank area;
  • Welcoming guests at check in and saying see you at check out;
  • Answering guest queries;
  • Creating ‘sparkles’ (memorable moments);
  • You are managing, training and coaching the team;
  • Balancing the credit card and cash payments;
  • Checking the team are completing all tasks on shift and handling any issues that arise (complaints or emergency situations);
  • You are the Duty Manager on shift, you also turn your hand around for extra projects in which you can show your creativity, expertise and passion for growth.

Are you great with technology? We are moving to a new system where we will be using mobile phones and tablets to assist you with your job making it more exciting, easier and interactive. 


Someone else would describe you as a committed manager with human knowledge, a distinct personality and someone who can work in a structured way. And, not entirely unimportant; you work varying services from 10:30am to 7:15am, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

In short: You take care of your guests and your colleagues. When someone is angry, you can turn that over to a smile. When someone has a problem, you solve it. You are the face of Mercure London Bridge. This Front Office Team Leader will be working both Night and Day shifts and requires great flexibility and an opportunity to develop and coach the Night team.

Work Experience
  • Experience in working in Front Office Reception within a hotel
  • Passion for Customer Service
  • Great Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of FOLS a plus
  • Problem Solving abilities
  • Friendly and Approachable
