Senior Director - Sales

Full-time, (home based in Europe) – UK(Preferred)

In this role you will be responsible for leading the BCD Travel’s effort to obtain potential customers and corporate travel accounts using effective sales and marketing techniques and coordination of available resources. In addition, as a Senior Director - Sales, you will create engagements to our consulting branch, Advito.

A snapshot of this opportunity

  • Maintain and develop targeted Global and Regional strategic business relationships at senior level within companies
  • Work closely with business development colleagues to identify customer opportunities for corporate travel
  • Collaborate with Advito and Meetings & Events plus navigating the industry and appropriate bodies to expand and penetrate the prospect network and partners
  • Ensure thorough prospect identification and market penetration for major accounts in target geographic areas
  • Work and communicate with Regional and Local Sales owners to create prospect acquisition plans
  • Identify competitive threats and emerging problems and offers
  • Negotiate all client contract terms consistent with company approval processes and commercial policy in a timely manner
  • Maintain detailed records and document sales efforts and correspondence
  • Stay abreast of new market developments and respond accurately


How you can set yourself apart

  • Extensive business travel industry experience
  • Experience in closing and implementing large market/global clients
  • Effective communication skills, oral, written and presentation
  • Computer literate in business software applications
  • Thorough knowledge of business travel management and supplier landscape
  • Knowledge of travel industry technology
  • Ability to set priorities, establish goals and plans, time manage effectively and manage workload effectively
