On-Call Hair Stylist

We are hiring for a Hair Stylist! We are looking to hire On-Call team members. This is an hourly position and will report to the Spa Director. 

About Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley 

Situated at the northern end of Napa Valley off the famed Silverado Trail, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley will offer experiences will capture the imagination of even the most seasoned wine country visitors. 

The Position/Role 

To perform a professional and personalized hair and/or makeup service to all clients. Our Stylists and Makeup Artists will respond to all interactions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and comfort while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies and procedures.  

Responsibilities 

• Perform hair and makeup services for guests based on their requests, including but not limited to wash and styles, up-do’s, makeup and lash application and any specialty treatments related to hair and makeup while providing the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
  
  
• Keep guests informed of the service process and the explanation of retail items and products. 
  
  
• To practice and follow all California State Board regulations, including all sanitation and hygiene standards, as well as maintain a clean, professional work area.
  
  
• Properly utilize all available hair and makeup supplies and equipment.
  
  
• Prepare the work area with necessary supplies; set up and breakdown of work area.
  
  
• Assist in set-up, break down, and maintenance of Spa including refreshments in pre-treatment areas.
  
  
• Accommodate special requests whenever possible; resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with spa services.
  
  
• Assist guests to appointments as they relate to the Spa and Fitness areas.
  
  
• Retrieve linens from laundry and return used linen to laundry.
  
  
• Maintain clean work areas in Spa Dispensary, Nail Bar, and Staff Room.
  
  
• Enforce Spa and Fitness rules and regulations pertaining to the locker room for all adult and junior guests.
  
  
• Appropriately utilize reservation systems, maintenance tracking, and Guest Experience database as vehicles of communication to ensure guest satisfaction with all services provided in the Spa and Fitness areas.
  
  
• Ability to suggest services and provide the highest level of recommendations to our guests.
  
  
• Ensure compliance of daily, and opening/closing checklists by walking and ensuring all Spa areas are well maintained, stocked, and cleaned to ensure high quality presentation and repair of all equipment.
  
  
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  
  
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  
  

Who you are

• High School education or equivalent experience.  
  
  
• Current license from California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.   
  
  
• CPR, First Aid Certified preferred.  
  
  
• At least three years’ experience in hair care and/or makeup artistry, preferably in luxury environment.
  
  
• Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas highly desirable, however not required. 
  
  
• Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
  
  
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
  
  
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
  
  
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  
  
• Outgoing personality and at ease with customers.
