Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is looking for Manager, Travel Industry Sales with a minimum of 5 years of Travel Industry Sales experience in the luxury segment. The individual will report to the Senior Director of Sales, for the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire and the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.

The individual will be responsible for communicating with hotels and Senior Leadership on industry trends, business practices, and market opportunities. The individual will develop the assigned markets of North America for hotels with the main focus of capturing and growing market share from high-end leisure agencies and Preferred Partners. Revenue generation from Travel Industry accounts is the key focus of this position. Assigned markets or segment may change due to business demands.

The ideal candidate will be a positive and engaged member of the Sales Team, dedicated to Four Seasons Hotel London Park Lane and Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire hotels and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

This is a remote job with the candidate preferably based in New York but we are flexible with other locations within the USA.

Key Activities:

Generate Travel Industry Revenue

  • Produce established room revenue goal from set group of Travel Industry accounts
  • Travel to cities within market to see clients, to various Four Seasons corporate events, to tradeshows, and to hotels and resorts to conduct site inspections and Fam trip
  • Create and maintain meaningful relationships within the designated markets for all relevant clients
  • Develop individual accounts using information provided by sources such as, but not limited to, WSO, Front Office, regular guests, media, industry contacts and market intelligence
  • Identify and execute educational opportunities for Travel Industry advisors
  • Research new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate organisations likely to produce business for the hotels
  • Promote Advisor ID/PP advisors to grow revenues to targeted agents and increase PP agency revenues
  • Invite potential users to tour the properties and arrange individual tours, highlighting the facilities and services in partnership with the London based TI team
  • Entertain potential and existing clients in market as appropriate and within an assigned budget, including weekends, as and when required or appropriate
  • Develop accounts by planning and conducting sales blitz/sales trips within the region.
  • Lead the UK Collection with territory based Preferred Partner/Virtuoso and American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts programme in terms of contracting, updating portals, marketing opportunities and account development


Conduct webinars, sales presentations, Fam trips and site inspections, and solicit new business

  • Create meaningful connections with customers and hotel sales managers
  • Identify and execute educational opportunities for Travel Industry advisors
  • Promote Advisor ID to grow revenues to targeted agents and increase PP agency revenues
  • Conduct site experiences at our hotels to generate revenues and strengthen relationships
  • Participate in FS Corporate sales events and tradeshows
  • Keep up to date with all relevant operational updates at each hotel to support promoting the hotels within the market
  • Assist with ad-hoc selling/presenting to Corporate and Group contacts within the market to support each hotels overall targets
  • Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel


Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage account profiles and activities in accordance with MOS
  • Submit of expense reports, pre and post trip reports on timely basis
  • Handle of all incoming correspondence by accounts/clients
  • Communicate closely with RDOS and office staff to contribute positively to create a motivated and highly productive sales team
  • Coordinate with Sales Coordinator for daily administrative work
  • Ensure compliance with the hotel's employee handbook and understand and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety
  • Compile and maintain up-to-date Golden S&C records
  • Maintain up-to-date records of account base performance and regularly review and forecast
  • Research and compile accurate and appropriate mailing lists and e-mail databases
  • Prepare and report on statistics useful to our sales efforts including nationality, guest origin, booking sources, etc.
  • Organise and participate in familiarisation tours as required


Education and Experience:

  • Completion of a 4-year college degree program
  • Minimum of 5 years of luxury hotel sales experience (preferably in travel industry)
  • Experience in the territories of USA and Canada
  • Four Seasons on-property sales experience is an asset


Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Proficient in Opera and Golden Sales & Catering system (Salesforce)
  • Knowledge and professional use of social media as a tool to support business development
