A Reservations Supervisor oversees the reservations department in absence of a manager. Typical tasks required of this position include processing and monitoring group block reservations, as well as follow up communication with the sales department as appropriate.

What will I be doing?

 

Overseeing the efficient operation of the reservations department in the selling of guest rooms to accommodate guest needs while maximizing revenue. Specific responsibilities may include:

 

  • Monitor and analyze Rooms Inventory utilizing Yield Management to maximize occupancy and increase average rate.
  • Monitoring of Group Blocks, determining cut off dates, and Rate Restrictions, establishing and maintaining Upsell & Primary Inventory for Passkey events
  • Monitor Passkey reservations process including RezHub, inventory balancing, cut-off dates, etc.
  • Review and approve/accept Turnover files for new and amended Group Block files.  Build blocks and assign to Group Rooms Coordinators.
  • Review Group File Checklist and Resumes for completion and accuracy prior to event check-in. 
  • Process and handle OTA reservations, VIP reservations, and employee reservations requests by inputting data into the reservations system.
  • Calculate and prepare, Rooms Reports to include Group Pickup Report, SRP Activity Report and Booking Channel Summary Reports to determine sources of business using various computer systems.
  • Assists in the capacity of Group Rooms Coordinator when needed.
  • Initiate and prepare additional reports as required.
  • Assist office in any other administrative duties as needed.
