The Drake Hotel  in Chicago is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team!

This role will assist in coordination of day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.

What will I be doing?

  • Listen and respond to any incoming inquiries/calls. Assist team members, managers or candidates and provide accurate information in a timely manner
  • Assist team members with benefit related questions and refer to the Hilton Benefits hotline
  • Process payroll for the hotel and communicate with Centralized payroll representative
  • Provide administrative support such as filing paperwork, making new hire packets and maintaining team member files
  • Create and distribute memos, flyers, newsletters, monthly calendars, presentations, etc. as assigned
  • Organize, plan, execute and/or assist in various team member including monthly department events, luncheons, and community service events
  • Track completion of required trainings
  • Communicate any issues and/or challenges to Human Resources Director
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and other training sessions
  • Actively engage team members to maintain a positive work environment
  • Be involved with the Safety Committee and Safety Program including assisting with Safety and Security Audits, as needed 
  • Will be actively involved with hotel recruiting to include reviewing active applicant submissions, phone screening candidates and scheduling interviews for the hiring managers. Coordinate job fairs and other recruiting events
  • Assist with Team Member incidents and reporting to workers compensation carrier, if needed
