We love perfectionists and we're looking for more to join us as a Residential Houseperson for our exciting opening of Mandarin Oriental Residences, Beverly Hills.

Major responsibilities:

  • Remove all soiled linen, towels and trash from all residential owners, their units, and public areas.
  • Balcony cleaning within residential units.
  • Ensure fitness and wellness areas are maintained to a high standard.
  • Assist Residential Housekeepers when needed with services including but not limited to dusting, mopping, sanitizing, vacuuming, polishing, laundry, ironing, sweeping, washing, and bed making
  • Safe and Sound Programme (vacuum, fridges, baby cribs, rollways humidifiers, microwave monthly inspections).
  • Provide after construction cleaning services to new development products as they come available to market.
  • Keep a detailed record of time spent in each unit each day.
  • Resident owner’s shoeshine service.
  • Report any pest sightings to Management.
  • Ensure that trash room is kept free of debris and potential hazards.
  • Ensure all fire, life, health, and safety (FLHSS) standards are adhered to.
  • Physically able to lift 20-50 pounds frequently including, but not limited to, trash, housekeeping caddy, laundry, linen, light furniture, mattress, ladder, pressure washer, and vacuum.
  • Deliver linen, towels, guest requests and supplies as needed to renters, homeowners, and Residential Housekeepers.
  • Consistently achieve the required standards of cleanliness, product presentation and customer care in all residential units and public areas to create a warm, friendly, and comfortable environment for our guests.
  • Ensure that the appropriate level of security for all guest belongings is achieved, aiding in creating a feeling of comfort and confidence for residents.
  • To report any malfunctioning equipment and maintenance problems by recording all faults in work orders and passing them on to the Engineering department.
  • Keep all front of house (including units when required) and back of house areas clean, neat, vacuumed and dusted.
  • Makes sure mirrors, furniture, floors, ashtrays, elevators, and doors are clean and mark-free. 
  • Ensure that all cleaning supplies and chemicals are used safely and securely inline with the product specifications.
  • Removes all trash from areas as necessary.
  • Inventory management – ensure all supplies/inventory are stocked neatly and secure
  • Replenish inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.  
  • Coordinate Residents laundry needs – from pick up to delivery of laundry items.
  • Ensure laundry (including uniforms) is correctly accounted for.
  • At the direction of management, assist in the coordination of all services that promote the maintenance and upkeep of owner’s homes and values.
  • Coordinate and organize the daily activities and requests of all residents.
  • Offer a warm, sincere, and personalized welcome to all residents.
  • Create special conversations with residents which identify personal preferences to record in each guest’s profile history.
  • Be knowledgeable of all in-house and arriving resident and their guests.
  • Handling resident keys safely
  • Record and provide follow up procedures for residential work orders.
  • Communicate all important details to management and colleagues.
  • Facilitate the handling of resident administrative requests.
  • Respond to all resident needs and requests, including making deliveries, pick-ups, and drop-offs.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in polite and professional manner.
  • Create and generate daily reports as required.
  • Complete special projects as requested.
  • Have professional communication when utilizing a two-way radio and within all communications (such as email, phone calls and written communication) with vendors, colleagues, and resident owners.
  • To attend training and meetings as and when required.
  • To respond to any changes in the Residences as dictated by the needs of the industry or company. 
  • To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within my capability, as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and resident service needs. 
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities which, while outside the normal routine, are within the overall scope of my job. 
  • Other activities as deemed appropriate by Residential Management.

Requirements – Experience, Skills, Education and Qualifications:


  • Work authorization in the United States required
  • Able to communicate in written and spoken English
  • Excellent overall communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills (word, internet systems, email, building link)
  • Previous experience within a luxury hospitality or residential setting  
  • Able to multi-task
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be professional and possess excellent presentation, communication, organization, and effective time-management skills
  • Must have excellent grooming standards in coordination to Mandarin Orientals grooming policy
  • Flexible schedules and hours, willingness to work on weekends & holidays is required.


  • Multi-lingual is preferred
