This position is located at Mandarin Oriental Boston. Holding both the AAA Five Diamond and the Forbes Five-Star awards, Mandarin Oriental, Boston enjoys a coveted location in beautiful Back Bay. With a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, the hotel offers the perfect blend of luxury and style.
It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will keep the guest's perspective in mind at all times and carry out the mission of the Sales & Catering Departments. They are a vital source of support for the sales and catering team and overall assist in the hotel achieving its goals and objectives.
The incumbent will take full responsibility for assisting members of the Sales and Catering team with general administrative duties associated with the hotels clients. They will be 100% efficient and professional when receiving and making telephone calls or any type of correspondence with the hotel's clients. The Sales Coordinator will represent the Sales and Catering department both internally and externally. They should be self-motivated. They should anticipate colleague needs and use own initiative to solve any arising issues.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Two years experience as an Administrative Assistant, Coordinator or Front Office
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Software Applications
- Strong Level of Proficiency in Excel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
