Peter Millar & G/Fore – European Sales Director

(Permanent Full Time - Based in London & Milton Keynes)

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The European Sales Director is responsible for sales and profit achievement for the Peter Millar and G/FORE product ranges throughout Europe.

By understanding the brand values and distribution strategy you will provide leadership and direction to the sales and marketing teams to ensure the company commitments are met in the region. As a member of the senior team, you will be part of defining the strategy across all areas of the business and will be involved in multiple projects focused on delivering the company goals.

Outside the European region, you will work closely with other global partners to ensure consistency of the brand approach. In addition, you will work closely with senior colleagues in America at the respective brand HQ’s.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and profitability in Europe through strategic planning and best in class execution of sell-in and sell-through activities
  • Proactively manage a team of field sales managers and independent agents to drive the achievement of their respective targets, always maintaining the brand values and limited distribution strategies
  • Liaise with the planning, production and operations teams to ensure availability of product to support the delivery of financial targets
  • Actively participate as a member of the PMUK Management group to identify and drive improvements
  • Work closely with the local marketing team to ensure consumer and wholesale focused activity is balanced and executed appropriately
  • Work closely with US teams to learn, share best practice and ensure adherence to global standards and strategies
  • Cultivate a high performing, collaborative culture ensuring that performance of the team is maximised, and capability and resource is at the right levels to meet future growth expectations


HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • Relevant experience within a Senior Sales and/or Marketing role, able to demonstrate year on year performance improvements ultimately increasing sales
  • Previous experience working in the golf, sporting goods or fashion industry desirable
  • Background working in a similar complex multi geography environment with a strong brand focus
  • Dynamic and influential leader
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels, naturally engaging
  • High integrity and willingness to stand up for what is right, leads with exemplary levels of conduct and performance
  • Ability to travel both domestically and globally essential
  • Golfer at a good standard is highly desirable
  • Broad business acumen, will challenge outside of own functional area to identify improvement opportunities and ensure accountability
