JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN PURPOSE
The overall mission of the SWM Project & BD Director is to support the growth of the Richemont Group and its Maisons by developing key partners’ business understanding and detecting areas of commercial improvement as well as by identifying new distribution opportunities, by promoting and coordinating major global multi-brand business developments.
TITLE: SWM Project & BD DIRECTOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accounts Management
- Development of multi-brand key partners’ business understanding
- Identification, assessment and communication of development potential with key partners in key cities
- Support in the negotiation of commercial developments with key partners, ensuring Group leverage, relevant Maison positioning and best productivity
- Together with SWM Key Account management, definition and implementation of action plans by Maison to improve the performance of key partners
- Support in the deployment of global partnership models with the main regional players
- Support in the implementation of local and regional SWM structure and processes
New Distribution Development
- Identification, assessment and proposition of new market and distribution opportunities
- Coordination of the implementation of new multi-brand projects from the legal set-up to the design and constructions:
- Project overview and potential/feasibility assessment
- Support in the negotiation with key partners
- Coordination of brand space allocations and multi-brand store designs
- Coordination of legal and contractual frameworks
- Development of innovative and optimized concepts as well se new distribution schemes focused on new market trends and productivity
- Support in the coordination of reginal multi-category/sector business partners (malls, department stores)
- Build and sustain collective 3-year plan for accelerated growth in Top-100 cities
- Facilitate roll-out of Retailization program from HQ
- On-ground support for development of Travel Retail business
Business Development
- Key account business development plans
- Coordination, follow-up and execution (with local SWM)
- Assigned project management (Market excellence)
- Provide customized reports upon request for Maisons to support business decisions
- Coordinate across non-SWM Maisons (e.g. MTB, CAR) and Richemont functions (e.g. Real Estate, FP&A, RGM, Booster) to provide latest business intelligence and market analysis reports
- Organize local SWM group activities and events, including but not limited to, Retailer Seminar, Watches & Wonder, CIIE, etc.
- Monitor and maintain expenditure of SWM Maisons vis-à-vis deployment of CAPEX Harmonization program
- Continue enhancement and efficiency of monthly Musketeers Meeting
Support to Business Development Global Function for Europe
- Annual business plan, quarterly update
- City development analysis
- Global account business dev support for Europe
- Recommend and share key bus Dev for approval
- Resolve internal / external issues on a group level through collaboration with Richemont functions (e.g. Group Legal)
- Support in global ad hoc projects (e.g. CCP roll-out, Gemini, Booster)
PROFILE:
- Bachelor degree and above
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in luxury industry or luxury/retail consulting
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent reporting and presentation skill
- Commercial-oriented, proactive and initiative
- Strong Interpersonal & communication skills
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English required
