About The Opportunity


We’re looking for a Senior Director of Finance and Real Estate Business Technology with a passion for solving business problems through technology. This person will build strong relationships with senior leaders to drive outcomes aligned with company priorities and will be the single point of contact for the business within technology, with direct oversight of select enabling technology platforms and systems.  This person thrives in fast-paced environments and is experienced working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders from the business functions and technology functions, as well as partnering externally with technology vendors and service providers. The role is at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, with the ideal person cutting through ambiguity to articulate and drive forward a business technology strategy from ideation to execution.

Once here, your responsibilities will be:

  • Relationship Management:

    • Drive meaningful and high value outcomes through deep working relationships with and knowledge of both business function and technology teams

    • Manage the technology investment decision and approval process for the business function(s) in alignment with defined business objectives

    • Educate the business on high level technology concepts, capabilities and solution approaches

  • Tech Platform Strategy & Roadmap:

    • Manage and advocate for short-term priorities and long-range business function technology strategy (across software, data, hardware, telecom, and technology services).

    • Discover business function technology needs and opportunities

    • Qualify and manage new requests for technology products & services

    • Create initial business case for strategic projects and engage cross-functional teams for detailed cost-benefit analysis

  • Portfolio Management:

    • Be responsible for portfolio management and alignment for all the business function technology Projects

    • Facilitate close cross-functional collaboration with business stakeholders, Product Management/Engineering, and Global Technology Services for planning, strategy and delivery.

    • Partner closely with product managers to ensure aligned outcomes

    • Ensure strong communication and change management plans are in place where relevant

  • Domain Expertise:

    • Stay abreast of technology industry trends specific to the business function domain

    • Listen to the business to develop and maintain a working knowledge of organizational structure, capabilities and value-add of functional teams 

  • Platform/Application Management:

    • Manage third-party technology vendor relationships on behalf of the business function and provide third-party SaaS configuration management support for select solutions

    • Monitor actual vs budget and properly forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual spend for the business function technology portfolio.



  • 10+ years of experience with Finance and Real Estate specific technology

  • Executive presence and experience communicating with C-Suite leadership

  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technological solutions and influence process and system decisions that have company-wide impact 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams to common outcomes 

  • Passion for automating and excels at identifying gaps in processes

  • Knowledge of technology trends and best practices for Finance and Real Estate technology

  • Proven ability to operate at all levels and can seamlessly straddle between technical deep-dives and business conversations

  • Strong bias for action; ability to take ownership and think long-term.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic

  • Expert experience managing application teams and vendor relationships

  • Strong understanding of financial controls and budget management

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, MBA is a plus
