    As Accounts Receivable Agent and part of the pre-opening team at The Barcelona Edition I am in charge of the following tasks: • Posting customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions in the A/R field in Opera System. • Updating receivables by totalling unpaid invoices. • Coordinating together with the reservations team the advance purchases. • Verifying validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, Rooms Division and Food and Beverage venues and adjusting entries if applicable. • Control of transient and groups commissions and coordinate with my co-worker from Accounts Payable the payment of such commissions. • Protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential. • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities at the Marriott Intranet (MGS)
