There is a little story behind every birth, related by a memory and subject to a look.
In fact, Monseigneur Merhej, Former President of the University, in complete concordance with the chancellor H.E. Monseigneur Paul Matar, has identified the need in Lebanon, for a quality education in hospitality and services. In order to meet this need, he contacted the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, at the end of the year 2003.
In June 30, 2004, Sagesse University and Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne signed a collaboration agreement for the development of the Faculty of Hospitality Management. This faculty is an independent entity of Sagesse University. The Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne is committed to transmitting all the necessary knowledge and competencies for the realization of the faculty.
The head office of the Faculty of Hospitality Management is in Achrafieh, at Sagesse Street, which is an already existing building, found to be adapted to the needs. Its internal structure is completely reviewed to suit the international standards of a hospitality and service faculty for Lebanon and the Near-East, and to comply with the constant evolution of the industry.
