Job Description

You are the heartbeat of the hotel! 

As an Overnight Maintenance Engineer, you perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests.
 

Overnight  Maintenance Engineer/Mechanic

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for handling the general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas & heart of house. 
• Complete projects and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment; as well as HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing where possible. 
• You will be responsible for, and be proactive in, reporting deficiencies and areas needing repair according to hotel reporting procedures. 
• You will complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis and document work progress on special projects. 
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment and take immediate corrective action where possible.
• Assist guests regarding property facilities and safety whenever possible.
• Also, assist with Security tasks on the Overnight shift as needed.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience, preferably in a luxury hotel setting. 
• Must be able to interact and communicate with guests and ambassadors in a cordial and professional manner. 
• Must follow all OSHA and state/local laws and requirements and be able to troubleshoot and report issues in a prompt manner. 
• Experienced with HOTSOS reporting system preferred and HVAC certification a plus.
• Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset.
