In 1886, Paul Vidart created the “Nouvel Hôtel” (“New Hotel”). This hotel would go on to enjoy great success, counting many notable people among its guests including Guy de Maupassant, Jérôme Bonaparte and even the Queen of Spain.

As the years have passed, the hotel has played host to more and more members of the great and good. Having gone through a number of changes, the Domaine de Divonne came into being, reviving the Art Deco style, mouldings and architecture that emerged in the early 20th century.
