Fairmont Xiamen

Accor Group and Xiamen Airlines have joined forces to create a new Fairmont flagship hotel in the southeastern coastal city of Xiamen, the first Fairmont hotel in Fujian Province.
Xiamen is one of China's fastest growing and most economically prosperous cities, favoured by entrepreneurs, developers and tourists alike. With the growing demand for quality business and leisure travel, the arrival of the Fairmont brand in Xiamen will significantly contribute to the upgrading of quality accommodation and service experiences.
The partnership between Accor Group and Xiamen Airlines will see Fairmont hotels created by world-class design teams. FOSTER + PARTNERS, founded by Pritzker Prize winner Norman Foster, will design the architectural programme, while Hong Kong's Cheng & Chung Design (CCD) will be responsible for the interiors. The outdoor landscape programme was created by the SWA Group of the United States, known for its concept of creating harmonious natural systems.
The hotel is located at the new headquarters of Xiamen Airlines, at the mouth of the Xiang'an Tunnel. The Fairmont Xiamen Airlines Hotel, a 31-storey hotel, is located in the Huli District in the northeastern part of Xiamen Island in the Xiamen Cross-Strait Financial Centre in the newly developed Wutong High-end Business District within the district. The hotel is located in the heart of Xiamen's premium business district on the island, with convenient transportation: a 10-minute drive from the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center, the venue of the Straits Forum; a 15-minute drive from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport; and a half-hour drive from Xiamen North Railway Station. The hotel's proximity to commercial and shopping centres as well as entertainment and lifestyle venues makes it an ideal choice for both business and leisure guests.
