In the city’s most prestigious business community – Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) – Four Seasons Hotel DIFC is like a private club designed for relaxation and productivity.

Fundamentally a business hotel, it has already made a noise prior to official opening with the soft launch of Firebrand Diner by Michael Mina. The American restaurant is a first international venue for the celebrity chef, and early talk is that its fun approach to high-end dining with rattle a few cages in DIFC, not least with a 3am closing time.

At the top of the hotel, Luna Sky Bar, we are told, will be a refined wrap-around roof terrace with unobstructed views of Burj Khalifa; it has been designed by New York-based Tihany Design.

Completing the food and beverage offering is the Churchill Club, hailed as a heaven for cigar aficionados.

There is also a spa, pool and 24-hour fitness centre, access to an in-room tailoring service from Harvey Nichols and Bloomingdale’s, as well as the chance to utilise the Jumeriah resort.
