Position Overview:
As the Head Doorman at Mount Juliet Estate, you will play a pivotal role in creating an unparalleled guest experience from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a warm and professional welcome for our guests, overseeing the team of porters, and maintaining the high standards of hospitality and luxury that define Mount Juliet Estate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Front Entrance/Valet Arrival:
• Promptly open car doors, providing a seamless and welcoming arrival experience.
• Oversee the team of porters, ensuring cohesive and efficient operations.
• Create and maintain lists and reports identifying VIP guests, sharing relevant information with the porter team.
2. Guest Welcome and Assistance:
• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and professional demeanor.
• Provide assistance with luggage, doors, and any special requests, ensuring a smooth and pleasant arrival experience.
3. Valet Services:
• Oversee valet services, coordinating the parking and retrieval of guests' vehicles with a focus on efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure valet parking is available 24 hours per day.
4. Communication and Team Oversight:
• Effectively communicate with guests and internal staff to relay important information or address specific needs.
• Assist with overseeing the team of porters, providing guidance and support for a positive work environment.
5. Training and Supervision:
• Train and supervise the team of doormen and porters to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
6. Uniform and Appearance:
• Ensure that the doorman and porter team maintains impeccable personal grooming and wears the prescribed Mount Juliet Estate uniform consistently.
7. Event Support:
• Provide support during special events, coordinating with event Team to ensure a flawless guest experience.

• Provide a warm and personalized welcome, offering a positive first impression.
• Professional Demeanor:
• Maintain good posture, a genuine smile, eye contact, and attentive listening throughout guest interactions.
• Well-Groomed and Professional:
• Uphold high standards of personal grooming and professionalism in line with Mount Juliet Estate's brand.
• Proper Vocabulary:
• Exhibit a proper and polished vocabulary in all interactions.
• Guest Name Usage:
• Use the guest's name during the experience, when known.
• Warm Closing:
• Offer a warm and sincere closing, expressing appreciation for the guest's presence.
• Overall Experience:
• Ensure the overall experience meets guest expectations.

1. Front Entrance/Valet Arrival:

• Oversee and maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the Front Entrance/Valet Arrival area.
2. Bell – Arrival:
• Luggage Assistance and Placement:
• Offer assistance with luggage placement, ensuring a seamless transition for guests.
• Knowledgeable about Property Offerings and Local Area:
• Demonstrate knowledge about the property's offerings and the local area.
• Proactive Assistance:
• Proactively offer additional assistance to guests.
• Overall Experience:
• Ensure the overall experience meets guest expectations.
3. Concierge Services:
• Concierge Offerings:
• Provide recommendations and assistance for reservations, tickets, tours, and various guest services.
• Concierge Services:
• Offer concierge services 24/7, including reservations assistance, directions, and confirmation of reservations.
• In-house Restaurants, Business Services, and Local Attraction Information:
• Provide information about in-house restaurants, business services, and local attractions.
• Proactive Assistance:
• Proactively offer additional assistance to guests.
• Overall Experience:
• Ensure the overall experience meets guest expectations

Prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in overseeing team.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding high standards of service.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work culture.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
Physical fitness to perform duties such as lifting and moving luggage.
A full clean Type B driver's licence is required.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
