Groups & Events Trainee - Sheraton Milan San Siro

The successful candidate will join the Groups & Events Team, supporting the department in the organisation and management of events and helping to ensure impeccable service and a memorable experience for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Support the team in the planning and coordination of corporate meetings, conferences, banquets and special events.
- Assist in the preparation of operational documentation (BEO – Banquet Event Order, programmes, layouts).
- Assist with the management of operational systems, such as Opera and Sales & Catering.
- Collaborate with internal departments (F&B, Sales, Front Office, Housekeeping) to ensure the smooth running of the event.
- Welcome guests during events and provide on-site operational support.
- Monitor set-ups and ensure that the hotel’s standards are met.
- Support the management of last-minute requests and the resolution of any issues that may arise.
- Contribute to updating databases, reporting and the department’s administrative tasks.
- Take part in site inspections and pre-event briefings.
Preferred Qualifications
- A qualification in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism or related disciplines.
- Good communication skills and an aptitude for teamwork.
- Problem-solving skills and operational flexibility.
- Good knowledge of English; a second language is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; knowledge of industry-specific management software is an advantage.

Lo Sheraton Milan San Siro è situato in un'area circondata da ampi parchi e locali di intrattenimento ed è un punto di riferimento essenziale per i visitatori dei principali centri espositivi nel quartiere. Nel nostro Hotel abbiamo implementato Sanixair: un sistema di sanificazione, attivo 24 ore al giorno, che utilizza il principio fotochimico della P.C.O. (Ossidazione Fotocatalitica). Questa tecnologia è implementata dalla NASA per la sanificazione degli ambienti per le missioni aerospaziali. In 24 ore di utilizzo dei sistemi Sanixair, si ottiene la disinfezione degli ambienti da elementi nocivi e inquinanti e la distruzione del carico microbico. L’hotel è situato vicino allo stadio di San Siro e collegato comodamente con gli aeroporti, con l’autostrada e con i principali quartieri di Milano. Lo stile modernista caratterizza i suoi spazi ispirati al design milanese. L’hotel dispone di 310 camere, incluse 24 suite e una suite Presidential, che consentono di provare tutte le esclusive esperienze Sheraton, come l’accesso alla Sheraton Club, alla SPA e al fitness center aperto 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7. L’hotel vanta un’ampia area esterna che ospita una piscina scoperta con bar, un giardino terrazzato e un ristorante di specialità argentine, El Patio del Gaucho, Javier Zanetti. Il luminoso bar ristorante Silene interno completa l'offerta gastronomica. Una collezione di 21 strutture ampie e luminose per conferenze, in grado di ospitare qualsiasi tipo di evento privato o aziendale, copre una superficie totale di 2.500 metri quadrati.
