It all started with an idea. One idea for one tour, taking a small group of visitors around the historical center of Rome and telling them the stories they would never hear otherwise.

It was so much fun that one tour led to another, which led to Dark Rome operating not just in Rome, but also in the Vatican, Florence, Milan and Venice. In about a decade we became one of the largest tour operators in Italy and then we decided to take on Paris.

Today City Wonders offers over 40 tours across Italy - ranging from day trips to Pompeii and wine tours in Tuscany, to special-access tours of the Vatican (where we visit the Sistine Chapel after closing time!). But even more exciting, we also offer tours in the UK and France too!

Despite our growth however, we still strive for that same attention to detail. Our Product team work year-round to improve the little details that make our tours unique, while our Customer Care team are happy to answer every question you can think of - here, over the phone or by email.
