The company was founded in Claremorris, Co Mayo, in 1987 and through its network of home heating oil depots, delivery services, and service stations now supports in excess of1000 jobs right across Ireland. The company is 100 per cent Irish owned and operated, and prides itself on excellent customer service and family values.
Corrib Oil recently acquired the H2 Group headquartered in Listowel, Co. Kerry but with operations through Munster and Leinster. This acquisition adds 13 retail sites to its existing 20 service stations with high end delis and convenience stores.
This acquisition means Corrib Oil will operate across 54 sites in 16 counties.
A state-of the-art service station with food court was opened in Tralee in the recent past, along with outlets in Athlone and Mullingar and most recently, Kenmare, Co. Kerry. The opening of the service stations in Athlone and Tralee complemented the company’s existing presence in the home heating oil sector.
The company is actively looking at further outlets for expansion in the coming years. Corrib Oil takes corporate social responsibility seriously and as well as supporting local GAA clubs and the Galway International Rally, Corrib Oil regularly supports local charity initiatives including Croí and Galway Simon.
