Hostellerie Mont Kemmel (often abbreviated as HMK), a 4-star panorama hotel with fine gourmet restaurant situated in the middle of a quiet and beautiful nature park on the highest hill of Flanders, is the ideal base to visit the region with the historical cities Bruges, Ghent and Lille (France), the battle fields around Ypres and Poperinghe (Flanders Fields), the musea of Cassel and Louvres Lens and the beautiful coast line from Knokke (Belgium) till Le Touquet Paris-Plage (France). For the children (and the whole family) we have the entertainment parks Bellewaerde, Plopsaland, Ice Mountain Adventure park, Boudewijn Sea Park, etc.

The terraces provide you with an opportunity to relax or enjoy a wonderful meal as you take in the amazing views into the distance over the plains of French Flanders, which formed the front during World War One.

We are proud on our staff. The HMK team received already several awards: an "Award of Excellence 2018" from Booking.com (8,5/10) and a "2018 Travellers' Choice" (top 25 small hotels in Belgium) award by Trip Advisor. On 28 April 2015 HMK also received the international ecolabel "The Green Key ".

Our kitchen team, guided by the French chef Cédric Laxenaire, creates classic dishes with a personal and contemporary touch, giving preference to the best of local produce.
