Metropol Grand Hotel Saas-Fee

In 1893, a hotel legend was born in Saas-Fee. The Grand Hotel was one of the first hotels in the Saas Valley. The international regiment of guests plunged into a house filled with emotions in the midst of the majestic alpine world. The mountains’ majesty and the emotions have remained the same, only the walls and the name changed with the new building in 1983. In the new Metropol, the pioneering days of alpine tourism are encountered everywhere. In the lobby, the lovingly restored original furniture from the founding period complements modern design. Walls in the staircase from the founding period, which have been kept in all detail, reveal a look back in history. Paintings take the guest back to a time when travel vehicles still consisted of real horsepower and every mountain was conquered on one’s own power.
