Tropical Islands

Tropical Islands is located in Krausnick (60km south of Berlin) and is built in a former airship hangar. After only 9 months of reconstruction, it opened in December 2004. The intention of the Malaysian investors was to offer their guests “the best of the tropics” and a short break from the European surroundings without a long plane journey.

Nowadays we host two pool areas with real beaches and our overnight guests can stay in one of the 198 rooms, 138 tents or at our camp resort, including 113 luxurious Mobile & Nature Homes. Additionally we have 13 F&B outlets including restaurants, bars and lounge areas. The Tropical Sauna & Spa complex spreads over 10,000 m2 and offers massages and seven different saunas and steam-baths.

The Tropical Islands family includes almost 600 employees and hosts over 1 million guests per year. In May 2016 our outdoor area, Amazonia, opened with the longest wild water river in Europe! This attraction also offers 2 swimming pools and a beach soccer-& volleyball field.

Offering a complete package and therefore a full experience on itself, we are currently evolving from a day trip destination to a short holiday destination.
