The Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (PV) is a Portuguese public higher education institution that provides a Technical Course in Wine Tourism, a Bachelor in Tourism and a Master in Tourism Management in the School of Technology and Management of Viseu and a Bachelor in Tourism, Cultural and Heritage Management and a Master in Cultural Heritage Management and Local Development in the School of Technology and Management of Lamego.

The PV provides high-level qualifications, knowledge production and dissemination, students’ cultural, artistic, technological and scientific training, within an international reference framework. It comprehends five faculties: Education, Technology and Management in Viseu and Lamego, Health and Agricultural in Viseu. The offer is composed of 34 professional/technical courses, 50 bachelors, 29 masters, and 5 post graduations, to a universe of 5500 students.

The research is organized in five structures funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology: CI&DEI - Research Center in Education and Pedagogical Innovation; CISeD - Center for Studies in Digital Services; decentralised delegations of UICISA: E - Health Sciences Research Unit: Nursing (Coimbra Nursing School) and CERNAS - Center for Natural Resources, Environment and Society (Polytechnic of Coimbra).
