Job Description

Are you ready to embark on an exciting culinary adventure? Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport, our brand-new 5-star hotel, is seeking vibrant individuals to join our dynamic kitchen team as a Kitchenhand! If you have a passion for hospitality, a zest for culinary excellence, and dreams of wearing a chef's hat one day, then this opportunity is tailor-made for you! Be ready to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Māori culture that weaves through every corner of our hotel.

  • Clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment with precision and care
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials following established procedures
  • Keep kitchen tools and equipment tidy and organized for seamless culinary operations
  • Assist Senior Chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing delightful dishes
  • Ensure kitchen appliances and tools are sparkling clean and in excellent working condition
  • Follow the regular cleaning rosters and standard procedures for deep cleaning of floors, walls, coolers, ovens and operating equipment


Qualifications

You will be:

  • Experienced working in a Kitchen or Restaurant within the hotel industry is preferred, but not essential
  • Physically resilient to manage the demands of a fast-paced kitchen
  • A charming, upbeat, and optimistic personality with a "Can Do" attitude
  • Passionate about hospitality and culinary arts, and have the ambition to become one of Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport's Chefs one day
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Able to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment
