POSITION OVERVIEW

Tending to the transportation, luggage and excursion needs of the guest. This role is not eligible for a visa.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Satisfying guests needs and exceeding guests expectations by projecting a positive hotel image and ensuring the guests are pleased with their stay, is our #1 priority
  • Maintaining a presence at the entrance and opening the entrance doors for guests arriving and departing
  • Communicating within Front Office and all other departments efficiently. Sharing and disseminating pertinent guest information to appropriate departments or managers
  • Overseeing lobby traffic and welcoming/assisting outside guests
  • Picking up and dropping off guests at airport on time and communicating to the hotel which guests you are transporting and your estimated time of arrival
  • Driving in a safe and responsible manner representing Amangiri properly
  • Delivering/picking up luggage to and from guest rooms in a prompt and professional manner
  • Assisting with itineraries and preparing necessary vouchers for their activities. Monitoring daily activities and itineraries of guests
  • Escorting guests on various excursions
  • Being knowledgeable about excursions and local area
  • Working directly with reservations to confirm guests travel plans
  • Keeping car keys in a secure and orderly manner
  • Maintaining cars by ensuring vehicles are clean, engine in proper working order, fuel level sufficient and stocking all amenities as necessary. Working directly with Guest Services Manager to report any difficulties with vehicle’s working order, windshield repair, and etc
  • Attending and participating in daily briefings
  • Parking all vehicles from outside guests in valet lot and being able to retrieve them as necessary by properly tagging all keys and placing them in the bell stand as required
  • Handling guest complaints by informing proper personnel of any problems and working through the proper channels to resolve any matters
  • Answering all phone calls within 3 rings in a friendly and prompt fashion
  • Keeping high personal grooming standards and maintaining a neat uniform
  • Staying abreast of all community activities and being able to think on your feet by suggesting current activities to guest inquiries
  • Offering beverages and music choices to guests during transfer
  • Delivering guest correspondence and newspapers to guest rooms in an efficient and prompt manner
  • Recording information for each shift in a logbook for all shifts for daily reference
  • Recording guest history and inputting into computer all pertinent data
  • Becoming familiar with and complying with all Amangiri policies and procedures
  • Keeping work area clean and organized


 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
  • Must have good verbal and written skills and knowledge of the local area
  • Must be able to work all shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have a clean driving record and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
