POSITION OVERVIEW

Management Trainees (MT) will embark on a 12-month training programme in preparation for assuming a leadership role within the department. Throughout the 12-month rotation, the Management Trainee will learn the basics and be rotated within the different positions/sections in the department. An individualized development plan is created to map out rotations based on the individual’s background, experience, and exposure. This program offers the Management Trainee to acquire work experience from ground level whilst gaining customer service skills and developing supervisory skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assisting managers in daily tasks (reports and correspondence conducting, supervising, recording employees’ performances and instructing them to ensure the distinguished service to be always delivered to guests).
  • Conduct monthly reports regarding operation result
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef, Executive Sous chef in ensuring the quality of private F&B event guest booking
  • To be empowered to handle special requests and complaints from guests.
  • Ensuring to update guest’s special request, complaints, personal interest to guest’s profile and conduct monthly report regarding guest’s satisfaction.
  • Report to F&B managers, director about any issues regarding service, guests’ satisfaction.
  • Sell and promote the hotel and Aman products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.
  • Initiate action to correct hazardous situations and notify manager/director of potential danger.
  • Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.
  • Be familiar with property safety, current first aid and fire emergency procedures.
  • Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
  • Adhere to hotel cleaning and maintenance programs.
  • Ensure a high level of compliance to HACCP, food safety and hygiene standard in the department operation venues.
  • Other duty as directed by the FB Manager/Director

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Major in hospitality management
  • Sound Computer Knowledge, i.e. well versed with MS office, PMS system etc…
  • Knowledge of Opera & Micros would be an advantage    
  • Proficient in English (Written & Communication)
  • Analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid knowledge in terms of FB operation
