Resort Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Resort Manager reports to and supports the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of operations & property management in accordance with the company standards, focusing on Rooms operations.  The role will maximize financial performance and ensures high satisfaction levels with the employees and guests. Additionally, the Resort Manger also oversee execution all policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of the operation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This is a hands-on role, and the Resort Manger will be out on the floor and back of house on a regular basis, speaking with guests and operational HoDs to understand business needs and assess operational opportunities, highlight them to the General Manager and assist in formulating solutions.
• Ensures that all operational areas have an atmosphere that is conducive to excellent guest experience. Ensure the highest degree of quality guest service is maintained at all times, through prompt and courteous care. Meet or exceed previous service scores and internet rankings. Investigate complaints and initiate corrective action. Promptly resolve any guest complaints or issues.
• Ensures SOP implementation in all departments and checks the same during routine operational checks. Keeps operations teams focused on the critical components of operations to drive guest satisfaction and the desired financial results; makes and executes key decisions to keep property moving forward towards achievement of operational goals.
• Participates in public space walk-throughs with Engineering, Front Office, Reservations, Spa & Housekeeping to ensure guest rooms, public space and back of the house areas are well maintained and preventative maintenance processes are in place.
• Assist General Manager with establishing and maintaining applicable preventive maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel. Lead and execute renovation projects/plans.
• Participates in meeting planner site visits or inspections and prepares operations team for the same.
• Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to exceed standards and promote team empowerment.
• Delegates operational duties and projects with consistent follow up.
• Assists General Manager with analyzing and critiquing profit and loss statements for accuracy and opportunities to improve profitability. Help prepare financial reports for management that clearly explain operational effectiveness, trends, and variances. Implement appropriate cost-savings initiatives.
• Assists General Manager in developing accurate and aggressive long and short-range revenue goals consistent with the Company’s expectations. Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and revenue management teams to create effective strategies.
• Interacts with the general public, customers, employees, homeowners, vendors, and government officials with professionalism, tact and courtesy

 

Implements and maintains an effective open-door communication system that encourages feedback and interaction between all departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must already possess right to work in Greece.
• Ideal candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, in an ultra luxury environment with high level of complexity.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Experience in various capacities of Rooms Division strongly preferred.
• Ability to handle guest requests, complaints, and concerns in an efficient, calm, and genuine manner.
