POSITION OVERVIEW

The Spa Operations Manager with 730 Crown Spa at Aman New York will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous fitness services in accordance with the company’s standards. The Spa Operations Manager will be responsible for the entire spa operations and administration, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.

 

This position has an annual compensation rate of $78,000.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the entire Spa, Wellness and Fitness Management team.
  • Ensure an efficient and smooth spa operation with guests’ and employees’ safety based on our policy.
  • Ensure to maintain an updated product knowledge, current promotions and SOP.
  • Ensure an appropriate cash float based on SOP established by Finance.
  • Understands the department P&L and able to think about the relationship between financial figures and the daily operation.
  • Promote and sell spa menu/package to guests and members in a knowledgeable and professional way.
  • Highly motivated for maximizing spa revenue and reputation.
  • Assist in the supervision and operation of all spa departments, Spa Management, Spa Membership, Spa Receptions, Therapists, and Instructors.
  • Handle guest complaints, requests, and inquiries for all spa services with a professional attitude.
  • Greet all VIP guests at the spa on behalf of Spa Manager and Director.
  • Greet and monitor at spa reception especially during peak operation hours, handle team efficiency with high service quality and hygiene.
  • Proactive in seeking guest comments and feedback.
  • Understand market trends and activities of competitors.
  • Ensure all guest information and documents are maintained in a proper way and kept confidential.
  • Flexible operation handling to meet guest’s expectations.
  • Maintain awareness of new market trends and activities of competitors.
  • Establish good and professional relationships with vendors.
  • Develop and train all spa staff.
  • Keep updating SOP with the latest information.
  • Administration and implementation of staff training for all spa operations.
  • Fully understand and conduct emergency procedures and safety training.
  • Develop and assist with training activities focused on improving skills and product knowledge.
  • Ensure all staffs have a complete understanding of rules and regulations.
  • Monitor staff performance and feedback.
  • Maintain pleasant working environment for spa team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years’ experience in a luxury hotel environment
  • Current certifications from a nationally recognized and accredited fitness program
  • Basic computer and typing skills
  • Positive, engaging, and energetic personality
  • Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Sensitive to cultural nuances
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal on English
  • Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Multi-lingual is a plus
  • Medical knowledge and/or experience is a plus
  • Strong holistic health, wellness and nutritional background
  • Graduate of Hotel School or College Degree
  • PC Skills (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)
