Belmond has a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our Brazilian team based in the Rio de Janeiro. Marketing Manager are expected to be creative individuals with fantastic communication skills and excellent time management. This professional will be supporting two amazing Belmond properties: Hotel das Cataratas and Copacabana Palace.

To ensure success, marketing manager should be detail-oriented and have a solid understanding of marketing techniques (online and offline) with a keen interest in providing a consistent brand voice across all marketing activities to specific audiences. Top candidates will exhibit critical thinking skills, strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the SAM Brand & Marketing Director in implementation and execution of marketing plans which develop the brand, in line with the global strategy, which also meet the specific needs of the Brazilian market.
  • Brand guardian in market, ensuring our brand equity and vision is adhered to at all times.
  • Localize and maximize brand creative making sure all executions are aligned to brand guidelines, manifestos and operational with excellence. Big focus on design and collaterals.
  • Liaise closely with PR Team ensuring we are maximizing and leveraging PR and influencers within our marketing plans
  • Manage the local marketing team and ensure the quality of all deliveries and deadlines, especially collateral and projects.
  • Daily support to the GMs, heads of departments and Sales team.
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Coordinate all art direction and creative team (inhouse, agencies), develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
  • Research brands in Brazil, finding new inspiring content creators (photographers and artists etc) and development new partnerships.
  • Planning and organize photo shootings in Brazil.
  • Planning and organize events in both properties.
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities and negotiate media coverage.
  • Direct contact with the Global team for follow-up and implementation of local projects.
  • Marketing expenses monthly control and performance indicators.
  • Management of the multidisciplinary team located in Rio de Janeiro and Foz do Iguaçu.


The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience as Marketing Manager and leadership, minimum 5 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English)
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools (presentation, excel)
  • Ability to make presentations and management reports


PREFER QUALIDFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Willingness and availability to travel.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to work with international teams.
