Position: General Manager – Boutique Hotel (DRC)
Bougainvilla Boutique Hotel is seeking an experienced and hands on General Manager to oversee the day to day operations of our properties in Lubumbashi and Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth hotel operations, maintaining high service standards, managing staff effectively, and delivering a consistent guest experience. This role requires a strong operational background, leadership ability, and the capacity to work in a dynamic African environment.
- $2,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full day to day operations of the hotel, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance
- Ensure high standards of guest service and overall guest satisfaction
- Lead, manage, and develop staff across all departments
- Maintain structure, discipline, and accountability within the team
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and manage budgets
- Handle guest relations and resolve any issues professionally and efficiently
- Oversee the effective use of PMS and POS systems
- Manage stock control, procurement, and supplier relationships
- Report to ownership on operational performance and improvements
Requirements:
- Proven experience in hotel management or a senior hospitality management role
- Strong operational and leadership experience
- Experience working in Africa or similar environments is preferred
- Proficiency in hotel management systems, including PMS and POS
- Fluent in English or French, with preference for candidates who can speak both
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility, professionalism, and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively
