Audio Visual Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio-Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment used in various events and presentations. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality audio-visual experiences.

Your Responsibilities:

Equipment Setup and Operation:

Set up and operate audio-visual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, microphones, video screens, and lighting systems for events and presentations.
Ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during setup or operation.
Event Support:

Collaborate with event organizers to understand technical requirements and provide support in planning and executing audio-visual setups.
Assist presenters and performers with the use of audio-visual equipment, ensuring a seamless experience.
Maintenance and Repairs:

Perform routine maintenance on audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, coordinating with vendors for more extensive repairs when necessary.
Quality Control:

Conduct pre-event and post-event checks to ensure that all audio-visual equipment is in working order.
Monitor and adjust audio-visual elements during events to maintain high-quality presentations.
Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, usage, and maintenance history.
Provide documentation and training for end-users on the proper operation of audio-visual equipment.
Collaboration:

Work closely with other technical and event support staff to ensure seamless integration of audio-visual components.
Collaborate with external vendors when necessary to procure additional equipment or services.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with various audio-visual technologies and software.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events.
Technical certifications in audio-visual technology or related fields are a plus.
Education:
A degree or diploma in Audio-Visual Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in audio-visual technology are advantageous.
