Job Brief
The Assistant Stores Manager has the responsibility to receive, to store and to issue supplies and equipment. He compiles records of all supply transactions aboard ship.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for task outside the scope of work described.
- To ensure the hotel’s inventories are properly safeguard and control against any kinds of loss.
- To ensure that the procedure is in compliance with applicable hotel’s policy.
- To ensure that valuation of those inventories are properly made for being reflected in the financial statement.
- To maintain the inventory level at the minimum carrying and ordering costs.
- Supervise and control subordinates to discharge their duties in an effective and efficient manner.
- To discharge the duties in an effective and efficient manner.
- To receive goods with the proper and complete documentation.
- To ensure the proper storing and arrangement of stocks.
- To prepare all storerooms’ records.
- To issue and reorder of stock and to ensure that no goods will leave the storeroom without properly authorized requisition.
- To maintain the maximum and minimum par on all items.
- To issue the purchase requisition for all required items.
- To coordinate with other departments concerned regarding the receiving, issuing and inventory taking of stocks.
- To join the training program for staff in the area of store management.
- Report directly to the Stores Manager.
- Maintain a relationship with the other department concerned
- To be ready and responsible when assigned to perform any other duties as designated by Stores Manager.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Qualification:
- Middle or Secondary Education + Additional training or certificates in the relevant field is a plus.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel industry.
- Proven experience working in a top luxury resorts is a plus.
- Experience working in remote island locations is a plus.
- At least 1 year of professional experience on a similar position is a plus.
Technical skills:
- Computer skills.
- Problem- solving skills.
- Management skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Fluency in English or another language, written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
