Job Description

Constance Lemuria, Seychelles is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. As the Night Auditor, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of hotel records during the night shift. This role is critical to maintaining the operational integrity and financial accuracy of our luxury resort property.

• Reconcile all guest accounts, cash, and credit card transactions at the end of each shift using the hotel management system
• Verify and audit daily financial records, including room charges, departmental expenses, and revenue entries
• Prepare and review the night audit report, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
• Monitor and process late check-ins and check-outs while maintaining accurate guest records
• Handle cash management procedures, including counting, securing, and documenting currency and payment methods
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues during night hours in a professional and courteous manner
• Communicate effectively with day shift staff regarding any outstanding matters or concerns
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial and guest information
• Perform system backups and ensure all computer systems are functioning properly
• Identify and report operational irregularities or potential fraud to management
• Assist with other front office duties as needed to support overall hotel operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar hotel accounting/auditing role
• Proficiency with hotel management systems (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation, accounting procedures, and audit processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in cash handling and financial documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Competency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to remain calm and professional when handling discrepancies or guest concerns
• Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• Preferred: Multilingual capabilities (beneficial for our international guest base)
• Preferred: Experience in luxury hospitality environments
