Job Description

Job Summary

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services required for the smooth operation of the resort. The position ensures that all purchases are made at competitive prices while maintaining the required quality, quantity, and delivery standards in accordance with company policies.

Purchasing Officer – Key Responsibilities

• Manage item and vendor code creation with Head Office, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Coordinate supply deliveries and unloading operations in the absence of the Purchasing Manager.
• Liaise with suppliers to maintain valid HACCP, ISO, and other required certifications.
• Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, product quality, and supplier performance.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and support cost-effective purchasing.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure timely availability of required supplies.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Support the Purchasing Manager with procurement, cost control, and other purchasing activities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a resort environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with purchasing/procurement systems is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, reliable, honest, and team-oriented.
