Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - LOCKE LONDON ALDGATE

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support the upkeep of our facilities - ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. Your work will play a vital part in creating a comfortable and seamless experience for our guests.

THE WORK IN YOUR HANDS

· Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across the hotel property

· Assist with preventive maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests

· Monitor and report any defects or hazards in the building and equipment

· Support the Maintenance Manager with emergency repairs and troubleshooting

· Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs

· Work safely and follow health and safety procedures

· Collaborate with colleagues and contractors when needed

THE FIRE YOU CARRY

· Basic technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or general building maintenance

· Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently

· Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks

· A team player with good communication skills

· Dependable and punctual

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to standards

· Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and on-call duties

YOUR PROVEN TRACK

· Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role is preferred

· Trade qualifications or certifications in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or mechanical work are a plus

· Understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace

· Experience in a hotel, resort, or large property is an advantage
