We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our team as a Catering Sales Manager. In this dynamic role, you will have the unique opportunity to combine your passion for sales with your exceptional talent for planning and managing groups and events. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for securing venue bookings, meticulously planning events, and ensuring flawless execution to create unforgettable experiences for our clients.

The purpose of this role is to drive revenue growth through effective sales techniques while leveraging your expertise in groups and events planning. You will play a pivotal role in capturing new business opportunities, establishing strong relationships with clients, and providing exceptional service throughout the entire event planning process. Your goal will be to exceed client expectations, create lasting memories, and contribute to the overall success and reputation of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries and actively solicit and book new business with the intention of confirming profitable catering business and achieving Monthly Production Goals.
  • Uncover clients' implied needs and wishes and create highly customized proposals accordingly.
  • Develop creative and attractive menu presentations for potential clients.
  • The ability to coordinate the sales and other departments efforts between sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues and guest satisfaction.
  • Create and conduct memorable site inspection experiences, showcasing the property and setting it apart from the competition to maximize business capture, through intuitive selling.
  • Keep Director of Catering promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.
  • Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings and ensuring effective communication both written (BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event.
  • Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of events.
  • Supervise the execution of banquet events.
  • Review all function space with banquet manager and when required head house attendant.
  • Respond according to the crisis management plan to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Comply with Four Seasons standards for sales and marketing, while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and planning committee.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings.
  • Prepare and Provide input in daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Achieve monthly and yearly individually set targets.
  • Ensure monthly sales activity targets are set and met (and reviewed with Director of Catering).
  • Serve as management representative in resolving guest problems and manages glitches effectively.
  • Initiate billing procedures, ensuring client credibility and that deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information and within an acceptable time frame.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate computer equipment including word processing and spreadsheet software plus other systems (i.e. Golden S&C, Opera, Windows, Bayan payroll and analysis reports etc).
  • Ensure you read the hotel's employee handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • Be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
  • Conduct and attend training sessions as required.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Director of Catering or Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Report for duty punctually and maintain a high standard of professional attire and hygiene, adhering to the hotel and the department grooming standards.


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • College Degree Graduate (4 years or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2-3 years previous catering sales experience in a luxury resort/hotel required.
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, Arabic is a plus.
  • Strong selling, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of creativity with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client driven environment.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings.
  • Strong experience in Outside Catering Business & social events.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
