Conference Services Assistant Manager – Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo

Be You:

The Conference Services Assistant Manager will demonstrate the following key characteristics:

  • Highly motivated & self-starter.

  • Proven ability to effectively lead in various situations with different individuals or groups, flexible leadership style. 

  • Ability to develop strong and effective interdepartmental relationships, big picture, and holistic approach.  



Master Your Craft:

The Conference Services Assistant Manager will coordinate all requirements for various conference groups booked by the Sales and other departments. In this role, you will also be responsible for enforcing the terms of sales letter of agreement and guiding meeting planners through the planning process, ultimately ensuring their satisfaction.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Ensure successful execution of groups from the resort’s standpoint and simultaneously, the clients’ satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with clients using creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals, to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfillment of contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs.

  • Prior experience of 2 or more years directly working with a Hotel or Resort within the Conference Services department or operational department.

  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.

  • Communicates the needs and expectations of the client with all departments in the Resort.

  • Coordinate with the Sales Department to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.

  • Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written (BEO, Daily Reports, etc.) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event.

  • Demonstrate adaptability to live in a remote location.

  • Bilingual - Spanish & English

  • Supervise the execution of banquet events.

  • Review all function space with Banquet Manager.

  • Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event.

  • Find solutions to the inevitable challenges and glitches that arise while groups are on property and keep Director of Conference Services and Planning Committee promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.

  • Maintain knowledge of resort facilities, capacities and dimensions of meeting space and basic operational needs of all operating departments

  • Ensure satisfaction of client at the outset of all events.

  • When dealing with guests and internal customers you live by the Golden Rule.

  • You will use your unique personality and service style to fulfill the Four Seasons Brand and Resort standards creating a special and memorable experience!
