Housekeeping Generalist Full Time

The Housekeeping Generalist is essential to the successful execution of the daily operations at Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara. This individual responds to a wide variety of Housekeeping requests by accurately assessing the needs and inquires of the operation.

What We Expect:

Essential Functions

  • Follow proper payroll, uniform, and key sign-out procedures
  • Offer to assist owners/guests when requested
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other employees
  • Report any accident/incident immediately
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons
  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints; assists customers in all inquiries via the Four Seasons mobile app and chat.
  • Utilizes a variety of computer systems daily to communicate with internal staff and departments such as HotSOS, and Opera.
  • Monitors and responds to hotel fire control panel and emergency and safety situations in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Perform other tasks/projects as assigned by management


Housekeeping Coordinator Functions

  • Assists with inventory, ordering supplies, and monitoring expenditures. 

  • Acts as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of multiple departments including Engineering and Front Office

  • Helps identify training needs for Housekeeping staff.  

  • Runs room reports, prioritizes room cleaning, and updates the status of departing guest rooms.    

  • Resolves guest requests and interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.

  • Ensures communication and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, or special requirements.



 Team Lead Functions

  • Inspects Guest Villas as assigned and in accordance with Residence Club standards.

  • When cleaning during a shift.  Removes dirty towels and sheets and replaces them with clean ones from the Linen Closet. Cleans, dusts, and sanitizes all areas of the Guest Villa (bedroom, living room, dining room and bathroom) according to procedure. Makes bed. Vacuums carpet and cleans marble and tile areas.   Completes inspection of all arrival rooms to ensure it is ready for guest arrival.

  • Restocks used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationary and pens.

  • Possesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills. Keeps abreast of events in the Residence Club

  • Provides genuine hospitality and recognition in the work area. Promotes Residence Club services and products

  • Anticipates guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests; acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction. Offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented



House Attendant Functions

  • Keep all guest corridors neat, tidy, vacuumed and dusted.

  • Clean mirrors, furniture, and doors.

  • Inventory and maintain the cleanliness of all linen closets and empty trash.

  • Assist the villa attendants as necessary.

  • Resupply guest room supplies in the linen closet and armoires daily, as well as

  • Deliver and pick-up guest request items when assigned (i.e. irons, ironing boards). This also includes making up and delivering cribs and sofa beds.

  • Assist the villa attendants by removing the trash and soiled linen from the guest rooms.

  • Deliver linen from the Meadows to the linen closets, including armoires, as needed

  • Spot clean furniture and carpets as instructed.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the stairwells and service elevator areas by sweeping, mopping and dusting the areas.

  • Assist in moving beds and furniture as requested

  • Report any maintenance deficiencies to housekeeping

  • Assist in putting on bed skirts, turning mattresses, removing or hanging sheers and drapes

  • Employ proper use and maintenance of all equipment and supplies.

  • Operate a golf cart

  • Operate, clean and maintain oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, refrigerator, washer/dryer in the villa



Skills/Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language

  • Ability to accurately read and work with computer systems

  • Strong customer service skills and problem-solving skills

  • Preferred operational experience in a luxury hotel
