Your Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities:

FINANCIAL RETURNS:

• Assist with compilation of annual budgets, business plan and regular action plans
• Prepare and execute action plans which increase sales and associated business
• Work in line and support team members in all aspects of the business
• Assist Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales Managers with daily/weekly/monthly reports
• Assist with the preparation of new products and services
• Assist with the planning and development of promotional sales and marketing strategies
• Work with other IHG properties and assist superiors including regional sales personnel to sell their properties

PEOPLE:

• Attend sales/commercial meetings when required
• Attend to all sales department emails and maintain a correspondence data base
• Support sales team members with site inspections or sales visits
• Positive mind-set with ability to share new ideas with sales team

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

• Attend Trade shows, networking events, functions and exhibitions where applicable and advised by di
• Create artwork and have collateral input for flyers for direct mail purposes & assist with promotional activities for rooms & conference
• Maintain and update promotional EDMs
• Co-ordinate and maintain supply of corporate gifts and promotional items

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:

• Statistical collation on behalf of state (weekly)
• Maintain filing systems (manual and electronic)
• Maintenance and management of data base
• Support and assist with tender submissions when required
• Stock control of collateral
• Maintain stock of printed material

 

What We need from You:

• GCE “O” Level Certification or related field preferred, with 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient in Microsoft office – Word, Excel & Powerpoint
• Knowing the Hotel system – using OPERA PMS is a Plus
• Fluent in English and other languages will be an advantage
